Legal guarantee

Goods sold to consumers in the European Union come with a statutory legal guarantee of conformity of at least two years. This page shows the harmonised EU notice on that guarantee and explains how it works at Retroboots.de. Your legal guarantee applies in addition to, and independently of, your right of withdrawal.

Harmonised EU notice on the legal guarantee

Harmonised EU notice: Minimum two-year legal guarantee of conformity for goods sold in the EU

The notice is issued by the European Commission under Implementing Regulation (EU) 2025/1960. The QR code and the image both lead to the official information page: europa.eu/youreurope/guarantees.

What this means for your order

If an item is defective on delivery, you have your statutory rights under Sections 434 et seq. and 437 of the German Civil Code (BGB): repair or replacement free of charge and, under the statutory conditions, a price reduction or withdrawal from the contract. For consumers, the limitation period is two years from delivery. We do not shorten this period, including for deadstock items from older production periods. Details are in clauses 9 and 10 of our Terms and Conditions.

The seller and your contracting party is always Peppersack und Frey Sports GbR. This also applies to items shipped by a partner under the Retro Boots Network.

What to do if an item is defective

Report the problem to us as soon as possible and tell us your order number, the item and what is wrong (photos help). E-mail: retroboots.de@web.de, telephone: +49 1515 5824538, or by post to Peppersack und Frey Sports GbR, Westheck 13, 59427 Unna, Germany. Your order confirmation serves as proof of purchase. We will get back to you and organise the next steps with you.

Commercial guarantees

We do not offer a commercial guarantee of our own. Where a manufacturer grants a commercial guarantee, this is stated on the product page. Such guarantees apply in addition to your legal guarantee and do not limit it.
